Tailor Your Trek to Your Passions

Design your perfect journey. We’ll match your passions with the landscapes, people, and stories of the Caucasus. Here are some examples of the types of adventures we can design for you:

🥘 Culinary & Wine Adventures

Taste your way across the mountains.

Sample traditional dishes passed down through generations, hike between homestays serving homemade cheese, honey, and wine, and learn to cook regional specialties in a local kitchen. In Georgia, pair your hike with a stop at a family vineyard. In Armenia, trek to ancient wine presses hidden in the cliffs.

Perfect for food lovers, home chefs, and travelers who want to savor the cultural richness of the trail.

Follow ancient trade routes, visit 12th-century churches, hike past ruins from Silk Road outposts, and stay in villages that still preserve traditional architecture, crafts, and language. Our guides will help bring these places to life with stories passed down locally.

Ideal for history buffs, archaeologists, and travelers seeking depth and context.

Great for naturalists, photographers, and quiet observers of the wild.

🧘 Slower Treks & Mindful Travel

Hike at your own pace, with time to pause.

Designed for those who want fewer kilometers and more time to relax, reflect, or journal. Stay two nights in remote villages, join a foraging walk, or unwind at scenic camp spots. We’ll slow the tempo so the beauty can really sink in.

Perfect for wellness travelers, writers, or anyone craving a restorative journey.

Tier 4 FAQ: All-Inclusive Private Trek

🔹 What makes this trek different from the other tiers or your guided group treks?

This is our most exclusive and personalized trekking experience. In addition to a custom itinerary and full logistics support, you’ll have a private guide, all accommodations and meals booked in advance, airport transfers, curated cultural experiences, and 24/7 support. It’s the most seamless and in-depth way to explore the Transcaucasian Trail—with a local expert by your side every step of the way.

Our group treks are ideal for people who want to explore our favorite parts of the Caucasus alongside a group of like-minded travelers. Our private treks are ideal for those who want to travel with friends, family, or solo; who want more flexibility on dates; or who want to explore specific interests and regions.

🔹 Where are these treks available?

We can design trips in each region, subject to our local team’s availability. If you’re interested in a specific region, let us know during your consultation—we’re happy to explore what’s possible.

🔹 Who are the guides?

Our guides are local experts who work with the TCT directly—some have even helped build the trail you’ll be walking. They’re deeply familiar with the landscapes, cultures, and logistics of trekking in the Caucasus, and they’re trained to keep your experience safe, meaningful, and unforgettable.

🔹 How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 2–3 months in advance, especially for peak season (June–September). For trips with more complex logistics or special interests (photography, culinary focus, etc.), even earlier is better to ensure availability.

🔹 Can I make changes after booking?

We’ll do our best to accommodate reasonable changes before your trip begins, depending on availability. Once bookings are confirmed, changes may incur additional fees. We’ll clearly outline your itinerary and terms before finalizing anything.

🔹 Is this trip suitable for children or older travelers?

Yes—these treks can be adapted for different fitness levels, ages, and accessibility needs. Let us know your preferences during the consultation, and we’ll design a route that’s both safe and enjoyable for everyone in your group.
