Jon brings a lifetime of experience in computer science and a deep passion for the outdoors to his role on the TCT board. Over the course of his career, he’s held leadership roles at some of the world’s most influential tech and finance institutions—including Bell Labs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, and Google—where he served as Vice President.

After a trip to Georgia in 2024, Jon found himself hiking in the dramatic mountains of Kazbegi with TCT cofounder Paul Stephens. The landscapes were breathtaking, and the combination of rich culture, warm hospitality, and stunning trails left a lasting impression. Soon after, he joined the TCTA Board alongside several colleagues from Google, inspired by the international spirit and shared mission of the project.

For Jon, the TCT represents something much bigger than a hiking trail. It’s a powerful example of what’s possible when people from diverse backgrounds and countries come together to build something meaningful—step by step, stone by stone.

Outside of his work with the TCT, Jon enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, golfing, and teaching. Whether he’s out on a trail or mentoring the next generation of tech leaders, he’s guided by a sense of curiosity, community, and love for the natural world.

His advice to anyone just discovering the TCT? Spread the word—and if you get the chance, go see it for yourself!
